Yes, do live in Kansas City but I don't get out very often. My internet business takes 10 + hours of work seven days a week. In my home office. Even when I'm away from the office I have to carry a computer with me in case something needs fixing and it often does.
Fortunately, the work load doesn't look like it will be going down for a long time. I love the work I do and my only regret is I can't work much more every day.
I can't remember when I had a vacation and don't want one. The closest thing I have had to time off was a four day stay in the hospital several years ago. I now take better care of my health then I did before that adventure.
My questions about ceramic cookers can be eventually answered on the internet. In the next few months I am planning on buying a new smoker of some kind. It may be a ceramic cooker or a pellet cooker. I don't know what. I need to be able to cook more without taking time from working.
I had a wonderful Klose stick burning smoker for years. I also have several years cooking experience with Weber Smoky Mountain smokers and I would like to try something else.
All of this means I can't take time off to go hardly anyplace except a daily walk around the lake. Taking time off to go to an Eggfest is out of the question. There is a KCBS sanctioned contest less than five miles from where I live and I never have had the time to cook there except for momentary day dreaming.
Thanks for the offer.
