Mass. That's the key. Use fire bricks, plate setters, or D plates depending on what ceramic you are using, underneath your pizza stone on extended racks. Let everything get up to temp. EVERYTHING! Including the ceramic itself. Then put your pizza on. I like 450 and like to keep it there for at least 30 minutes before putting on the pizza. If its a round ceramic just let it cook. If it's oval turn it half way through a 12 to 14 minutes cook.
