I have a Primo Oval Xl and really like it. I have cooked on BGE also, and I like those. The Primo is more versatile imo, but both are about the same as far as quality, ease of use, temp control, efficiency, etc. If you want the very best "ceramic" cooker, the Komodo Kamodo is the only choice imo. They are made with a refractory material (not ceramic per say), and are a couple inches thick..the grates are 1/4 inch SS (they weigh almost 30 lbs by themselves). I saw where one went 80 hours or something like that on a single load of lump with a guru on it at 225 degrees. There is a price for all this goodness...they cost about 3 times what a Primo or BGE do. Both Primo and BGE stand by their products without hassle as well...you really can't go wrong with either (unless you want the Kamodo:))
