Bobby Brennan might be a nice guy, never met him. However, I firmly believe if he had the right vision he would not be trying to have his product manufactured in China and reselling here in US. To me as an American it makes a difference what the brand and product is about.

Its just the same thing all over again. We Americans like a product, the market is established on the backs of Americans, then some exec comes in trying to get a piece, they have the product manufactured in China, engage people with good marketing ... - and we all know where that has took us. Why can't we keep this one passionate pastime of Americans out of the hands of the Chinese. I just don't see why we have to have another product manufactured from there, especially you when you have better choices with anyone of the Big 3. I am not saying all things have to be made in the US, but it doesn't have to be made in China!!! Why do we keep doing the same thing?

BGE has created the kamado market, so they deserve their credit, Primo is made here in the US, and Grill Dome has developed their own loyal following by making a great product. They all have been around for many years have been the key players in the market, so they all deserve their respectable place. Now here comes KJ into the market - really their is nothing special about their product and they are just selling their product based on a veil of marketing. No Bobby! you can't "ignite my passion for grilling". I just can't believe in a company like that.

I guess its just a personal thing for me. People don't have to agree, I can respect that. But then again, grilling and bbqing is a personal passion for me, it might mean something else to others. I guess I am just trying to see if other people agree with my sentiment or if I am really the minority.
